How to gather remote logs from the Huawei Health application on iOS and Android

 

 

Why is it worth to collect the logs?

Remote logs help Huawei to diagnose and resolve your problems by providing detailed technical data. The process helps support teams troubleshoot more effectively. Issues with uploaded logs have higher chance of being solved.

NOTE: Please be assured, that the logs collected during the process described below are stored in your region and are not sent at ay point to China.

 

Before capturing the log:

1.        Before reproducing the issue, please make sure that the watch is connected to your phone.

2.        If possible, please try to perform the problematic operation before submitting the log.

            For example, if the issue is related to Running activity, please perform running workout and then submit the log.

3.        Please record a video of the issue - it will help to identify the issue occurrence time.

4.        Once the issue is reproduced, please wait 5-10 minutes and follow steps below. Depending on whether your connected phone's operating system is Android or iOS, the procedure is slightly different.

 

 

Log collection on Android devices

1.    In Huawei Health app, click Me > Help > Problems and suggestions.

2. Accept submitting logs from the application by pressing the Accept & continue button. Watch logs will be now collected.

    IMPORTANT: Clicking Just provide feedback will NOT allow to Huawei engineers to help You with your problem.

 

3. Fill the form of feedback:

(1)     Mark Functional issue

(2)     Provide description of problem. For example, Running workout was not measured on 12th of September.

(3)     Provide Contact information (optional).

(4)     Mark Share app log to help us pinpoint the issue

    IMPORTANT: Without checking this box, it will not be possible to share Huawei Health logs to Huawei engineers for analysis.

(5)     Click Submit.

 

4. After submitting the feedback, the Reference No. is displayed on the app screen.

Please copy the Reference Number or take a screenshot and provide it while reporting your problem to Huawei.

 

Log collection on iOS devices

 

 1.    In Huawei Health app, click Me > Help > Problems and suggestions.

 

2.    Accept submitting logs from the application.

            2.1 Check Add logs

            2.2 Press the Agree button on pop-up

            2.3 Press Accept & continue button 

Logs will be now collected.

IMPORTANT: Clicking Just provide feedback will NOT allow to Huawei engineers to help You with your problem.

3.    Fill the form of feedback:

    (1)     Select Issue.

    (2)     Provide description of problem. For example, Running workout was not measured on 12th of September.

    (3)     Provide Contact information (optional).

    (4)     Mark Upload Health app logs to help pinpoint the issue.

    IMPORTANT: Without checking this box, it will not be possible to share Huawei Health logs to Huawei engineers for analysis.

    (5)     Click Submit.

 

4. After submitting the feedback, the Reference No. is displayed on the app screen.

Please copy the Reference Number or take a screenshot and provide it while reporting your problem to Huawei.
