Problem:

Game Space is installed on some mobile phones running EMUI 8.X, and displayed on the home screen as an app icon.

1. After the update from EMUI 8.X to EMUI 9.0, the Game Space icon is no longer displayed on the home screen, but the AppAssistant icon still is.
2. On some new models running EMUI 9.0, the Game Space icon does not appear on the home screen.

Cause:

To ensure a consistent experience for users who have updated their phones from EMUI 8.X to EMUI 9.0, the icon has been preserved on the home screen.

In the EMUI 9.0 system, the Game Space service has been upgraded and renamed as AppAssistant. The service has been integrated into the system, and is no longer presented as an independent app.

Solution:

You can access Game Space by going to Settings > Apps > AppAssistant.EMUI 9.0 users can also create a home screen shortcut (go to AppAssistant > Game Space>gamepad icon in the upper left corner>Settings>click Add to the right of Game Space shortcut).
