No ringtone for incoming calls on my HUAWEI phone/tablet

Troubleshoot the issue based on the following scenarios.

No ringtone for all incoming calls

  1. Check whether Phone ringtone is set to None

Go to Settings > Sounds & vibration/Sound, touch Phone ringtone, and check whether None has been selected. If None has been selected, please set a ringtone. Restart your phone and check whether your phone rings for incoming calls.

  2. Check the Do not disturb settings

Open Settings, search for and touch Do not disturb, and disable it if it has been enabled, otherwise the ringtone for incoming calls will be muted during the set period.

No ringtone for incoming calls from a specific contact

If your phone plays no ringtone when you receive a call from a specific contact, go to Phone > Contacts and touch the contact to enter their details screen and check the ringtone setting. If Silent is displayed, the ringtone for the contact is set to None. Touch Silent and reset the ringtone.

No ringtone for incoming calls in certain scenarios

  1. It is normal that there is no ringtone for incoming calls in such scenarios as audio recording, video shooting, and video calling.
  2. No ringtone for incoming calls when playing games

If you have enabled Uninterrupted gaming in AppAssistant for an immersive gaming experience, your device will not play ringtones or vibrate for incoming calls when you are playing games. To disable the Uninterrupted gaming feature, open Settings, search for AppAssistant, and touch the button in the upper left corner of the Game Space screen.

    • Some device models do not come with AppAssistant or Game Suite.
    • Some device models do not support Uninterrupted gaming.
