Postal repair service is a mail-in repair service operated by Huawei Tech Investment Saudi Arabia Co. Ltd, and / or its affiliates. (hereinafter referred to as "Huawei", "we", "us", or "our") that enables you to send in your devices for maintenance and repairs. We understand the importance of your personal information, and will do our best to protect it. We promise that we will take appropriate security measures to protect your personal information according to established industry security standards.


1. What Data do We Collect About You?

As part of the Postal repair service, we shall collect and use your personal data only for the purposes stated in this Statement. Personal data refers to any information that enables Huawei to identify you as a user.


We shall collect and process the following data:


- Device information: such as IMEI, MEID, SN, device model, and operating system version.


- Network information: such as your IP address, GPS, and HUAWEI ID information (including your nick name).


- Account information: such as your profile picture, name, address, phone number, and email address.


To provide you with the service, Mail-in Service needs to connect to the Internet, and requires access to the following permissions or features: Storage, Location, Phone, Camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Recorder, and HUAWEI ID.


2. How do We Use Your Data?

Before using Postal repair service, you may need to provide personal data. You do not have to provide your personal data to Huawei, but in some cases, the non-provision of certain personal data will cause the inability to provide you with Postal repair service.


To provide you with the services you have subscribed to and fulfill contractual obligations, we will use and process your personal data. The personal data is processed to carry out your service requests and repair status inquiries.


In addition, Huawei uses your personal data for the following purposes based on legitimate interests:


Postal repair service request: We will use your IMEI, MEID, SN, device model, HUAWEI ID, name, address, phone number, and email address to facilitate the process of your Postal repair service request, repair status inquiries, and repair.


You reserve the right to reject the data processing. However, by doing so, you may not be able to use our Postal repair service.


3. How Long Do We Store Your Data?

We will retain your personal data for no longer than is necessary for the purposes defined in this Statement. Once the retention period expires, we will delete your personal data, unless otherwise required by laws and regulations.


In the Postal repair service, your personal data will be retained for the following periods:


Your aforementioned personal data will be stored for two (2) years from the date of your last communication with Huawei (including customer communications initiated by Huawei), providing there are no business interactions such as after-sales maintenance within this period.


After you delete your account, we will delete your corresponding personal data, including device information, network information, account information, and log information.


4. Do We Share Your Data?

Disclosures related to legal requirements and business transactions


Huawei may disclose your data in response to a legal process or request from a competent authority according to applicable laws or in connection with a legal proceeding or process.


Your data may also be disclosed as part of a merger, acquisition, sale of assets (such as service agreements) or transition of service to a Huawei group entity who shall assume the same obligations under this statement as us.


5. What are Your Rights and Choices?

You can withdraw your consent at any time. To stop the data collection and uploading, go to Settings > Apps > Apps > Support > Storage > CLEAR DATA.
