My phone automatically registers with another carrier's network when using 2G services to roam |
If the area you are in is not covered by your carrier's 2G network or has poor 2G coverage, your phone will fail to register with the network. If you have subscribed to your carrier's roaming service, your phone will automatically search for available networks of other carriers and register with one of them if it is possible.
Note: Additional charges for international roaming may apply. For further details, please contact the customer service personnel of your carrier.
If you do not want to register with another carrier's network, perform the following:
- Disable automatic carrier selection. You will then need to manually select a carrier.
Swipe down from the status bar to open the notification panel, touch and hold Mobile data to enter the Mobile network screen, touch Carrier, then disable Choose automatically.
Please note that:
- The Choose automatically switch will be enabled again after your phone restarts.
- Unsubscribe from the roaming service.
- Contact your carrier to disable the roaming service for you.
- Note: After the roaming service is disabled, you are unable to use local networks outside your local country.
Thanks for your feedback.
