[HUAWEI] My wearable case is scratched or discolored

Problem

After using the wearable for a period of time, the front and rear covers of the device are scratched, discolored, or the paint has peeled off.

Cause

  • During daily use, the case can become slightly scratched when it comes into contact with hard objects. High-gloss watch cases are more prone to scratches due to their mirror-like finish.
  • Long-term wear of a wearable can cause the case to become dirty due to factors like skin oil, sweat, cosmetics or any other chemicals, dust, and sun exposure. In addition, contact with disinfectants, hydrogen peroxide, or other strong corrosive liquids can corrode the case, leading to issues such as discoloration and paint peeling.

Solution

Scratches or discoloration on the case won't affect the normal use of the watch. It is recommended that you keep your device away from hard objects and chemicals like cosmetics. Clean the wearable on a regular basis. To do so, remove the strap, clean the body with a cloth dipped in alcohol, wipe it dry, and re-attach the strap.

  • Kids watches are more likely to fall off or collide with hard objects as children tend to be less careful with items of value. Please take care of them.
  • If none of the above resolves the issue, take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
