  • HUAWEI Scale 3 BLE Edition does not support pairing via WLAN.
  • Your phone can only be paired with one body fat scale at a time. If you need to connect to another scale, unpair your phone from the current scale first.

For details about connecting your body fat scale to WLAN, check out this link. If configuration fails, perform the following to troubleshoot.

1. Move the scale closer to the router

The distance between the scale and router can affect the scale performance, as too far a distance will result in weak signal and undermine connection stability. Therefore, try placing the body fat scale as close to the router as possible.

2. Check that a 2.4 GHz WLAN is used

Body fat scales do not support 5 GHz, so make sure you're connecting your scale to a 2.4 GHz network.

To view the network frequency on your phone, for example, go to Settings > WLAN, select the connected network, and check out the Frequency section.

For HUAWEI routers, you can access the configuration screen, select My Wi-Fi, and disable Auto-switch or Prioritize 5 GHz. For other routers, contact the product's customer service.

3. Ensure that the router settings are correct

The router's WLAN name cannot be hidden and cannot contain Chinese characters or special characters. The WLAN name and password cannot exceed 16 characters. If the WLAN name and password are modified, you'll need to reconfigure the network.

  • It is not recommended that you hide broadcast packets, set MAC address filtering, or configure a blocklist or trustlist.
  • It is recommended that WLAN squatting prevention be disabled in the router settings.
  • If any of the preceding features is enabled, consult the router's vendor on how to disable the features.

4. Restart the router or restore it to its factory settings

Restart the router and try again. If the issue persists, restore the router to its factory settings and try again.

5. Try connecting to another phone's personal hotspot

If WLAN connection still fails, pair your scale with another phone's personal hotspot.

If it works, refer to steps 2, 3, and 4 to double-check the WLAN frequency and router settings.

If frequency setting is supported for personal hotspots, set the frequency to 2.4 GHz. To do so on a HUAWEI phone, for example, go to Personal hotspot > More > AP band > 2.4 GHz.

6. If the issue persists

If you're using an iPhone, it is recommended that you use an Android/EMUI phone to log in to the Huawei Health app with your HUAWEI ID, complete the pairing, then use your iPhone to log in to the same HUAWEI ID, and try again.

If the issue remains unresolved or you encounter any difficulties, back up your data, and take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance. We will do our best to address your needs.
