My device and HUAWEI wireless charger/power bank heat up while charging |
It's normal for your phone and the wireless charger/power bank to heat up while charging. These devices have built-in safeguards to prevent overheating, so do not be concerned about this.
If the devices are overheated, perform the following steps:
- Ensure that the wireless charging area of the phone is aligned with the center of the wireless charger/power bank. Avoid charging the phone in environments with high temperatures, such as in strong sunlight, near heaters, microwave ovens, baking ovens, or water heaters. If you are using a HUAWEI SuperPower Magnetic Power Bank, please refer to Magnetic cases required for charging devices with a HUAWEI SuperPower Magnetic Power Bank.
- Remove any metal objects (such as buckles) or cards with NFC or RFID chips between the wireless charger/power bank and the phone. Otherwise, excessive heat will be generated during charging.
- Do not use any thick protective case for the phone during charging, as this may affect heat dissipation of the phone.
- Avoid using the phone while charging it, such as enabling flashlight, using a camera app, playing games, or watching videos.
- If the issue persists, take your device and proof of purchase to a nearby Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
Thanks for your feedback.
