The HUAWEI phone charges slowly when Turbo mode is enabled

Problem:

The HUAWEI phone charges slowly when Turbo mode is enabled.

Solution:

1. Use the charger and cable that came with your device

If you use a third-party charger or charging cable, the charging speed may be slow due to differences in charging specifications or protocols. Use the charger and cable that came with your device.

2. Try re-inserting the charger

There is a low probability that the phone cannot detect the charger, or fast charging fails due to unstable insertion, slow insertion, foreign objects in the port, water intrusion on the port, or cable damage. Check whether there are foreign objects in the port. If so, clean the port. Check whether the cable is damaged. If so, replace the cable.

3. Place your phone in an environment with a proper temperature to charge it

If the temperature is too high or too low, the charging speed will slow down.

Do not place your phone in an environment where the temperature is too high or too low. Place the phone in a well-ventilated environment, such as indoors or on a desk. If the heat dissipation is poor, such as under direct sunlight or on a bed or sofa, the phone temperature will increase, affecting the charging speed.

Your phone may charge slowly or fail to charge in a low temperature environment. This is because the battery is designed based on its physical features to ensure safe use. This is a normal phenomenon.

4. Avoid using your phone while charging it

Your phone heats up during both charging and usage. If you use your phone while charging, your phone heats up more, and the charging speed will be affected.

5. Clear background apps that are not in use

If you are using virtual navigation keys, touch on the navigation bar at the bottom, and then touch to close them all.

If you are using navigation gestures, swipe up from the bottom of the screen and hold to show all apps running in the background, then touch to close them all.

If you are using the physical navigation button, swipe left or right on the navigation button to display recently used apps, and touch to close them all.

If you are using a navigation dock, touch the navigation key, swipe left or right on it to show all apps running in the background, and touch to close them all.

6. The charging speed is slow when connected to a computer or a vehicle using a USB cable

Generally, the output power of the USB port on a computer or the USB charging port on a vehicle is low. When the phone is charged, the charging current is too low, and the battery of the phone is large. As a result, the charging speed is slow. If the phone is still running high-power-consumption apps, such as navigation and music apps, the battery level decreases, instead of increases. It is recommended that you use the charger that came with the phone or HUAWEI fast charging in-car charger.
