My HUAWEI watch/band automatically powers off or restarts during use

Update the band/watch to its latest version

If your band/watch can be used temporarily after it unexpectedly powers off or restarts, it is recommended that you check whether your device is running the latest version. If not, update it to the latest version.

Wear your band/watch correctly

As shown in the figure below, wear the strap with moderate tightness, leaving at least a finger's width between the strap and your wrist bone for optimal comfort and fit. This helps prevent your clothes from catching the button, which could otherwise cause the watch to power off or restart unexpectedly.

In winter, wearing clothing with tight cuffs—such as technical jackets, down jackets, or sweatshirts—may increase the risk of accidentally pressing the button, which can cause the watch to power off or restart.

Ensure that the band/watch is working at an appropriate temperature

The band/watch should be stored at an ambient temperature between –20°C and 45°C. For optimal performance, it is recommended to use the band/watch in temperatures between 0°C and 35°C. If the temperature exceeds this range, the device will automatically power off to protect the battery and hardware via its overtemperature protection mechanism. Place your band/watch in a cool and ventilated place and wait until it cools down before powering it on.

In summer, do not leave your band/watch in a high-temperature environment (for example, in a car or under direct sunlight) without supervision. Avoid exposing your watch to direct sunlight for a long time when you wear it for long-term outdoor workouts during the day.

If the issue persists

If the issue persists, back up the data on your watch and then take your device and proof of purchase to a nearby Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
