Refer to the following solutions for different scenarios:
Unable to connect to the Internet
- Make sure that the WLAN network your watch connects to is supported. The watch can't connect to an open network (such as airport or hotel hotspots that require browser redirection for login verification). If your watch connects to such an open network, the message "Unable to connect to WLAN. No login program provided" will be displayed.

- If you want to use your phone's hotspot to connect your watch to the Internet, make sure that Maximize Compatibility or 2.4 GHz has been enabled. Otherwise, the message "Connected (no Internet)" will be displayed. In this case, change the hotspot's type by referring to the following table.

After the settings are complete, wait for 10 seconds and try again.


If you are unable to connect your HUAWEI WATCH 5 Series or HUAWEI WATCH Ultimate 2 Series watch to an iPhone 17 Series phone's hotspot, enable Maximize Compatibility at the bottom of the hotspot screen and try again.
- If the issue persists, check whether the WLAN or hotspot does not work. You can log in to the router's background to check the network connection status or call the carrier's customer service to check if your data service has not been activated and is out of credit.
Slow network speed
- As the watch is small, keep it close to the router. If the distance is too large, the WLAN signal may deteriorate. As shown in the following figure, swipe down on the watch's home screen to view the WLAN network strength in the status bar The more the signal bars, the better the WLAN network.

- Check whether the router is not working. You can connect your phone to the router's WLAN network and check the network speed. If the network speed is slow, connect to a WLAN network with a higher speed and try again.
If the issue persists
If the issue persists, there may be a hardware issue. In this case, take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
