My HUAWEI phone/tablet has a blurry screen

The screen parameters may vary depending on the device model. It is recommended that you compare the screen clarity with that of the same model of phone/tablet.

If your phone or tablet's screen becomes blurry during use, perform the following steps:

Display scenario comparison

Browse different images or apps. If the screen clarity remains unchanged, the screen may be faulty. If the screen is blurry in a certain scenario or when displaying a specific image, the image may be of low resolution or the third-party app may be abnormal.

Screen resolution settings

Search for "screen resolution" in Settings, or go to Settings > Display & brightness > Screen resolution, disable Smart Resolution or select High, and then open the app where the display is blurry or unclear. Check whether the issue is resolved.

If your device is running HarmonyOS 5, you can search for "screen refresh rate" in Settings to adjust the refresh rate.

If this option is not available, it indicates that your phone or tablet does not support this feature.

If the issue is not resolved, it may be due to an app problem. In this case, back up your data, uninstall the app, and download the app again from AppGallery or use another app of the same type.

Brightness settings

In strong light, the screen of your phone or tablet may appear dark. Try increasing the screen brightness if this is the case. To do so, go to Settings > Display & brightness and drag the brightness bar.

If the issue persists, the screen hardware may be faulty. Back up your data and take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
