What should I do if my NFC access card cannot be swiped and the ID value changes each time it's read through the access control system?

Cause:

For security reasons, the ID value of the NFC access card is designed to randomise each time it is read by a code reader. This avoids two of the same phone models having the same ID value and prevents an NFC-enabled phone to act directly as an access card.

Solution:

If you want your phone to act as an access card, please contact the access control system provider to check whether you can use an NFC SIM card to pass through the system. If you can, request for an NFC SIM card. To use an NFC SIM card as an access card, you need to perform the following configurations on your phone:

Place the NFC SIM card in card slot 1 of your phone.

The NFC menu settings are as follows:

Swipe down from the top of the screen to open the shortcuts panel, then touch and hold the NFC icon to enter the NFC settings screen.

For EMUI 5.1 or earlier: Touch NFC security chip, and select "SIM 1: XXX network provider" as the NFC security chip.

Touch Default payment app, and select the corresponding SIM card or app.

For EMUI 8.0 or later: Touch Default payment app, and select the corresponding SIM card or app.
