The calculation made by HUAWEI Calculator is incorrect
The calculation made by HUAWEI Calculator is incorrect |
The calculation result is incorrect
Example: Multiplying 7,500,000 by 12 results in 9.E7 instead of 90,000,000.
For the purpose of conciseness and simplicity, the calculation result is displayed in scientific notation when the integer is a multiple of 10 million or when the integer part of the result consists of 16 or more digits (aEb=a*10^b; a times 10 to the power of b). This is normal and does not indicate an issue with your device.
tan45 does not equal 1
By default, Calculator calculates trigonometric functions in radians (Rad). To change from radian mode to degree mode, touch Deg.
To view sine, cosine, and tangent functions, turn your phone horizontally so that Calculator is displayed in Landscape mode. These functions are calculated in radians by default. In this case, tan45 is not equal to 1 (as shown in the following figure), since 1 is the calculation result in degree mode.
Switch Calculator to degrees and try again.
The result of adding percentages is incorrect
The result when adding percentages is incorrect in Calculator. The following figure shows an example of this issue.
- The calculation rules stipulate that the calculator recognizes A±B% as adding (or subtracting) A times B% to (or from) A, that is, A±A*B%. For example, 10% + 10% means adding 0.1 times 10% to 10% (or 0.1), that is, 0.1+0.1*10%=0.11.
- If you want to calculate percentages added together, try the following:
- Convert the percentages to decimals. For example, 0.1 + 0.1.
- Add parentheses to the percentages. For example, (10%) + (10%).
- Add parentheses to the numerals and place the percentage sign outside the parentheses. For example, (10+10) %.
