Problem

The CPU usage increases by about 20% during a search and decreases after the search is complete.

Cause

To provide accurate search results quickly, AI Search performs operations such as word segmentation, retrieval, and relevance sorting based on the keywords that you input. Therefore, the CPU usage increases during a search, which is related to the number of matched keywords.

Solution

Solution 1: A search can be completed within a short period of time (about 400 ms on average). This is normal and does not indicate an issue with your device.

Solution 2: Open HUAWEI PC Manager, enter the Settings screen, and disable AI Search.

Click the Settings icon, go to Connections > AI Search, and turn off the switch.
