Unable to install the update package on the kids watch

If the update package fails to install, restore your watch to its factory settings, and download and install the package again.

 

• Restoring your kids watch to its factory settings will clear all call logs, chat records, messages, photos, and other personal data. Exercise caution when performing this operation.
• Avoid operating on the watch or pressing the side button during updates.

The HUAWEI FamCare app continues to display a message indicating that the kids watch is being updated

1. Check the watch's version: If your watch is already running the latest version, the update has been successfully completed.
2. Handle display delays: Note that poor network connectivity can cause a delay in updating the update status within the HUAWEI FamCare app. If you're experiencing such an issue, wait for the network to stabilize and then re-open the app to check the most up-to-date status.
3. Attempt the update again: If your watch still shows the outdated version, make sure you have a stable Wi-Fi or mobile network connection before trying to update again.

The update screen keeps displaying a message indicating that the watch is waiting for an update after I tap Update on my fully-charged watch

Your watch may have entered thermal protection state. In this case, remove the charger, wait until your watch cools down, and try again.

The message "Unable to obtain data. Try again later." is displayed on the update screen in the HUAWEI FamCare app

1. Check update information on your watch: Go to the system update screen on your kids watch and try to retrieve the update information again.
2. Wait and try again: If the previous step fails, wait approximately 10 minutes before attempting the update again.
3. Restart your device: If the issue persists, restart your watch and then try the update again.

The kids watch can't be powered on after an update or the kids watch crashes during an update

1. Charge your watch: Connect it to a charger and check if it powers on properly.
2. Restart your watch: If your watch still doesn't power on, restart it and attempt the update again.
3. Forcibly restart: If the restart fails, press and hold the Power button for 10 seconds to force a restart, then try again.

If the issue persists

If none of the above resolves the issue, back up your data, and take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
