When the device is connected to a Wi-Fi network
If Airplane mode is enabled and the device is connected only to a Wi-Fi network, it will not automatically sync the time with the network. Disable Airplane mode and re-connect your device to the network. The device time will revert to normal.
In a country with multiple time zones
The system Date & time of your device is determined based on your current time zone, while the updated time zone depends on your local carrier's network.
In countries with multiple time zones (such as Russia, United States, Canada, and Australia), your device will not be able to display the correct local time if the local network does not deliver the time zone information to your device. Contact the local carrier for details.
You can manually set the time zone information as follows:
EMUI 8.X or earlier: Open Settings, search for and touch Time zone, disable Automatic time zone, then select the correct time zone under Time zone.
EMUI 9.0 & Magic UI 2.0 or later: Open Settings, enter Time zone in the search box, toggle off the Set automatically switch, and then select a time zone.
In countries/regions that implement daylight saving time
In some countries/regions (such as Morocco and Canada Yukon), the time displayed on the device is usually one hour ahead or behind the local time when daylight saving time has started or ended.
- You can manually set the time by going to Settings, searching for and touching Date & time, disabling Set automatically, and manually adjusting the time to the local time.
- We will update time zone configurations as soon as possible. Please update your system parameters when prompted.
