Where to find the MAC address of a Wi-Fi connection on my device

The MAC address stands for Media Access Control Address and it is a unique identification number that helps you track your device in a network. The MAC address is assigned from the factory to every network card, such as an ethernet card or a Wi-Fi card, and it cannot be changed.

There are two types of MAC addresses for wireless connections: device MAC addresses and randomized MAC addresses. The latter are supported only on a few HUAWEI device models.

To check the device MAC address of your smartphone or tablet, open the Settings and search for and access Status. The Wi-Fi MAC address is the device MAC address of your HUAWEI device.

If you want to check the randomized MAC address, swipe down from the status bar to open the notification panel and tap and hold the Wi-Fi icon to access the Wi-Fi settings screen.

Touch the name of the network you are connected to and view the randomized MAC address.
