HUAWEI GoPaint Worldwide Creating Activity is provided by Huawei Device Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Huawei", "we", "us", or "our"), which aims to gather painting works created using Huawei tablets for assessment.
Huawei takes your personal information and privacy seriously, and is committed to taking appropriate security measures to protect your personal information in accordance with relevant laws and established industry security standards.
- As GoPaint is a global activity, your submitted works and work information will be displayed globally based on your authorization.
- The final assessment process of the works collected for GoPaint is conducted in China. Your works and work information will be transmitted to China. You may participate in the activity and publish your work in My HUAWEI after selecting the checkbox for the activity regulations and privacy statement. By doing so, you agree to submit your works to the activity and authorize the organizing committee of Huawei Device Co., Ltd. located in China to assess your works.
Joining the activity and uploading works
During the ongoing activity, you may participate in the activity and publish your work in My HUAWEI after selecting the checkbox for the activity regulations and privacy statement. We will record your sign-up information.
When you upload a work, the work (picture) and related information will be collected, including the work itself (picture), user nickname, work name, work description, category for work assessment, and EXIF information of the picture.
The information is stored according to the requirements of the platform. We will assess your work based on the post you have published.
In the event that your work is shortlisted, the operation personnel in your region will be notified. They will contact you through private messages on the platform to verify and confirm your work prior to any awarding process. Please note that only works that have been successfully published will be eligible for the awarding process. Any work that has been deleted or has not been published successfully will not be eligible, as it cannot be traced during the statistics collection process. When you submit a post on My HUAWEI, you authorize us to review and access the post in China.
In accordance with the activity's publicity requirements, we will select certain submitted works to be showcased globally within the region or through authorized cooperation channels.
Subject to your authorization, your eligible and qualified works, as well as your user nickname and HUAWEI ID, will be displayed in the current region to global users.
Viewing and managing your works
As a participant, you can access your work submission platform, My HUAWEI to view, modify, and delete the information and status of your uploaded works.
Work assessment, award-winning notification, and incentive delivery
We will assess all works submitted for the activity after the submission deadline (that is, when the preliminary assessment stage starts). Only shortlisted works will be transferred to China for final assessment. We may contact you during the assessment process. For example, when selecting shortlisted works, we may contact you through private messages on the platform to verify the authorship of the works and ask whether the works have been created using Huawei tablets.
After the final assessment, if your work is shortlisted for an award, we may display your award-winning work on the HUAWEI GoPaint Worldwide Creating Activity web page, or through certain partner online or offline channels with your consent. The displayed information may include the work (such as picture), work information (such as work name, author, category for work assessment, work description, device model used, and EXIF information), country/region where you submit the work, and award name.
If your work is shortlisted for an award, our operation personnel will send a private message on the platform to you to obtain your email address. The email address will be shared to the third-party service provider for incentive distribution and communication. To distribute incentives, the third-party service provider will collect information about award winners, such as names, mobile numbers, bank accounts, and passports. The third-party service provider will process your aforementioned information in accordance with their data security protection criteria and privacy policies. We will retain your personal information in China for the period necessary to fulfill the aforementioned purposes, and will delete or anonymize your personal information beyond the required retention period. We will take necessary technical measures to protect your aforementioned information from leakage, misuse, unauthorized use, loss, tampering, accidental damage, or disclosure or access without your consent. If you actively provide the aforementioned information, it is deemed that you expressly agree that we process your personal information in accordance with the above terms.
This activity is intended only for adults. If you are a minor, you will not be eligible to participate in this activity. Parents and legal guardians should also take appropriate precautions to protect minors, including monitoring their use of products or services.
In addition to the official activity website, we will also publicize and display submitted works and award-winning works through My HUAWEI and HUAWEI Community, as well as third-party platforms and offline channels such as but not limited to Instagram and Facebook.
We will request our affiliates, subsidiaries, or third-party service providers to process such information for us in compliance with our instructions, this Statement, and any other applicable confidentiality and security measures. This may include providing support and assistance for operational services such as work publicity, award publicity, and bonus distribution. For this purpose, we need to share necessary personal information, such as nicknames, names, countries/regions, works and related descriptions, contact information, bank accounts, and passports, with these affiliates, subsidiaries, or service providers. Huawei will collect winners' names, contact addresses, mobile numbers, passports, ID cards, and bank account information based on the award type, and transfer the aforementioned personal information to the third-party supplier. Bonuses will be distributed through the third-party supplier. Before the bonus is distributed, the third-party supplier will sign bonus collection agreements with the winners. The collected information is used only for the purpose of distributing incentives for GoPaint.
As GoPaint is a global activity, we will publicize or publicize award-winning works worldwide. For example, in case of bonus distribution, we will transfer your personal data to a country/region that is different from your location, for example, to China.
In order for you to more easily access, rectify, or delete your personal profile and guarantee you the right to withdraw your consent regarding personal information usage, we have added the relevant operating settings for your convenient use. Refer to the following guidelines for details:
If you participate in the activity via My HUAWEI, you can access the Gallery section of HUAWEI Community to modify or delete your work.
All data about participation in the activity via My HUAWEI will be stored in the data store center in Singapore. Only the information about the shortlisted works will be transmitted to and stored on the server in the People's Republic of China.
We shall retain your personal information only for the time necessary to fulfill specified purposes, which means that we will retain your personal data about your submitted works for up to two (2) years , unless an extension of the retention period is required or permitted by laws. We will delete or anonymize your personal information beyond such a retention period.
In the event that we discontinue our products or services, we will notify you in the form of a push notification, announcement, or by other means, and delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period of time.

If you are not satisfied with the response you receive, especially if you feel that our processing or handling of your personal information has violated or infringed on your legal rights and/or interests, you may seek external resolution, whether by filing a lawsuit with the people's court in the relevant jurisdiction, submitting a complaint to the industry self-regulation association or relevant government regulatory agencies, or by other means.
