Raise to wake does not take effect on my HUAWEI watch/band |
If your watch/band cannot be powered on, displays a black screen, or has other issues, refer to Power your watch on and off.
If Raise to wake does not take effect on your watch/band, perform the following steps to troubleshoot.
- Enable Raise to wake.
- This feature is enabled by default on the HUAWEI WATCH 3/4 Series watches. To check this, go to Gestures > Raise to wake on your watch. >
- Other watches/bands:
- Open the Huawei Health app, touch Devices and then your device name to enter the details screen, touch Device settings, and enable Raise to wake. If you are using the HUAWEI Band 4e, enable both Raise to wake and Rotate to switch screen.
- Exit sleep status/Sleep mode.
To prevent frequent screen-on from affecting your sleep, Raise to wake is not supported when your watch is in sleep status or Sleep mode. Exit sleep status or disable Sleep mode on your HUAWEI watch/band by referring to Sleep monitoring on your HUAWEI watch/band and try the Raise to wake feature again.
- Disable Do not disturb or Schedule.
Certain watches/bands support the Raise to wake feature in Do not disturb mode. It is recommended that you update your watch/band in a timely manner. If the issue persists after your watch/band is updated, you can swipe down on the watch home screen to open the shortcut menu and disable Do not disturb.
- Disable Always On Display (AOD) watch faces.
If you have set an AOD watch face, the battery life will be shortened, and Raise to wake will be disabled. Disable the AOD watch face and try again.
For details about how to set the Raise to wake feature for an AOD watch face, see Always On Display on your HUAWEI watch.
- Wear your watch/band in a correct manner.
- Make sure that your watch/band is tightly fastened and positioned slightly above your wrist bone, with its screen facing upward.
- Please note that you'll need to rotate your wrist inward (towards your face) for the screen to turn on.
- When lying down, you'll need to raise and rotate your wrist from your side or from your chest to turn the screen on.
- Make sure that your watch/band is tightly fastened and positioned slightly above your wrist bone, with its screen facing upward.
- Restart your watch/band and relink it with the Huawei Health app.
If your watch/band is unable to restart properly, press and hold the side button for at least 12 seconds to forcibly restart it.
- Restore your device to its factory settings.
Sync your data to the cloud and restore your wearable device to its factory settings, then see if the issue is resolved. A factory reset will clear all of the data on your watch/band, so exercise caution when performing this operation.
If the issue persists, take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
