Problem
The computer cannot charge or is slow to charge in low temperature environments.
Cause
A normal environmental temperature range for your computer is 0°C–40°C. To ensure that your computer is safe to use, your computer's battery is equipped with the following design features:
- If the environmental temperature is lower than 0°C, the battery cannot be charged.
- If the environmental temperature is higher than 0°C but lower than 10°C, the charging current is limited, which will cause your computer to charge slowly or not charge at all. Moving your computer to a warm environment will allow it to charge normally.
- If the environmental temperature is higher than 10°C, normal charging will resume.
