No workout route is displayed in the Huawei Health app after I start an outdoor workout on my band/watch |
After the user starts an outdoor workout on their watch/band, no workout route is displayed in the Huawei Health app. If this issue occurs, perform the following operations.
Ensure that GPS signals are strong enough
If there is no GPS signal where you are (such as if you are indoors) or GPS signals are not strong enough due to factors such as obstruction from high-rise buildings, surface reflections from large bodies of water, or interference from metal objects, your workout route may be affected.
We recommend that you start an outdoor workout in an open outdoor environment with minimal obstructions, such as in a stadium.
Pair your watch/band with the Huawei Health app and update the GPS satellite
The watch/band is not frequently connected to the Huawei Health app and the message Update GPS satellite info in Huawei Health. is displayed.
We recommend that you keep your watch/band connected to the Huawei Health app for at least 5 minutes (or at least 10 minutes if you are using an iPhone) every day or before you start an outdoor workout, enabling the GPS satellite of your watch/band to be automatically updated.
If you are using HUAWEI WATCH 3 :
- Please update your watch to the newest version.
- In smart mode of the watch, you can update satellite by connecting to WLAN, using mobile data, and connecting to the HUAWEI Health App.
- In ultra-long battery life mode of the watch, it only supports connecting to HUAWEI Health App to update satellite.
Start a workout after the GPS search is complete
If you start an outdoor workout before the GPS search is complete, your device may not be able to get GPS information, resulting in your workout route not being recorded or being inaccurate.
We recommend that you start the outdoor workout after the GPS search for your watch/band is complet
Connect your device to a phone when the watch/band does not come with a built-in GPS
If your watch/band does not come with a built-in GPS and is not connected to the Huawei Health app, you will be unable to record your workout route after you start an outdoor workout on your watch/band.
If your device is connected to the Huawei Health app, but you are not using a Huawei phone running EMUI 5.0 or later or an iPhone running iOS 9.0 or later, you will be unable to record your workout route.
If you want to record your workout route, we recommend that you connect your device to the Huawei Health app and start an outdoor workout in the app, or you connect your device to a Huawei phone running EMUI 5.0 or later or an iPhone running iOS 9.0 or later and start an outdoor workout on your watch/band.
