How to use Cloud Backup? |
Upgrade the cloud space to the latest version and try it. Cloud backup supports automatic backup and manual backup. After performing backup, you can go to Settings > HUAWEI ID > Cloud > Cloud Backup and choose device > Manage backup data > Restore data to check whether there is a successful backup record.
To save your cloud storage space, if you have enabled the data synchronization for Gallery and Notepad, the gallery and Notepad data will be uploaded to the cloud space synchronously. The data will not be backed up again using the cloud backup. When Data synchronization is disabled, the gallery and Notepad data will be backed up in the next cloud backup.
Automatic backup
Go to Settings > HUAWEI ID > Cloud space > Cloud backup and select a device to enable the cloud backup function. After this function is enabled, data is automatically backed up when the device is locked, powered on, and connected to a Wi-Fi network.
Manual backup
When your phone is connected to a Wi-Fi, go to Settings > HUAWEI ID > Cloud > Cloud Backup and select a device > Backup options, select the data you want to back up, and go back to Cloud Backup > touch BACK UP touch Back up now.
- If you have purchased a cloud space package and the package is still valid, each device can still store the latest three successful cloud backup records. If you are a free user, only the latest successful backup record is stored on the same device.
- Cloud Backup supports only certain third-party app data. More apps will be supported in the future. For details about the supported apps, see the Cloud Backup screen. When restoring app data using Cloud Backup, a prompt will be displayed, indicating that the current app data will be overwritten by the restored app data. The overwriting operation can't be recalled. (A message will be displayed before the restoration.)
