What is Safe Mode?

Safe Mode is a diagnostic startup environment that loads only the essential system functions and pre-installed applications. By temporarily disabling all third-party apps, it allows you to determine if a performance issue is caused by the system itself or by an app you downloaded. It is a highly effective troubleshooting step to perform before considering a factory reset.

When should I use Safe Mode?

You should enter Safe Mode if your device experiences any of the following after installing new apps:

  • System Instability: Frequent crashing, freezing, or unexpected restarting.
  • Performance Issues: Significant lag, slow touch response, or overheating.
  • Battery Drain: Sudden, unexplained drop in battery life.
  • App Conflicts: Screen overlays or "ghost touches" that prevent normal navigation.

How to Use Safe Mode

1. How to Enter Safe Mode

1.    Power off your device completely.

2.    Press and hold the Power button and Volume Up button simultaneously.

3.    When the startup animation appears, release the Power button but continue holding Volume Up until the Recovery Menu appears.

4.    Use the Volume buttons to navigate to Safe Mode and press the Power button to confirm (or tap "Safe Mode" directly if the screen is touch-enabled).

5.    Your device will reboot, and you will see "Safe Mode" displayed in the bottom-left corner of the screen.

2. How to Exit Safe Mode

Simply Restart your device normally. Once it reboots, all your third-party applications will be available again.
