My HUAWEI phone/tablet consumes power more quickly after I enable a hotspot or VPN

Problem:

The phone/tablet consumes power more quickly after a hotspot or VPN is enabled.

Cause:

• After a hotspot is enabled, the device will transmit signals so that other devices can discover and connect to it, which increases power consumption.
• After other devices connect to the device's hotspot, the device needs to receive and forward data, which also increases power consumption.
• After a VPN is enabled, it will occupy CPU resources, mobile data, Wi-Fi, and more.

Solution:

It is recommended that you disable the hotspot and VPN after using them to reduce power consumption.
