[HUAWEI] There's no SpO2 measurement result displayed, or the measurement result is inaccurate/abnormal on my watch/band

Check whether your watch/band and the Huawei Health app are running the latest versions. If not, update them to their latest versions.

If no SpO2 measurement result is displayed, or the measurement result is inaccurate/abnormal, troubleshoot the issue based on your specific scenario:

Your device is worn incorrectly

  • Wear your watch/band correctly, make sure that its rear cover is clean and dry, and not blocked by foreign objects. Wipe your watch/band and wrist dry after taking a shower or swimming.
  • Wear your watch/band above your wrist bone at least one-finger width, to ensure that the strap is properly tightened and comfortable to wear.

  • Avoid keeping your watch/band in contact with lots of hair, tattoos, or scars on your arm.
  • Place your arm flat on the table, keep the watch/band screen facing upward, initiate an SpO2 measurement on your watch/band, and keep your arm still during the measurement.
  • If the measurement fails for multiple consecutive times on the same position of your wrist, you can adjust the wearing position, or switch to another wrist for measurement.
  • For a more accurate result, it is recommended that you start measuring SpO2 three to five minutes after wearing it.

The ambient temperature is lower than 15°C

  • When the ambient temperature is too low, the blood oxygen perfusion (skin blood flow) on your wrist may decrease. As a result, the sensor at the bottom of your watch/band cannot obtain accurate signals, causing SpO2 measurement result error.
  • It is recommended that you wear your watch/band correctly, rest still at room temperature (about 25°C) for 10 minutes before measuring SpO2.
  • If you are in an environment where the ambient temperature is low, such as in high-altitude areas or outdoors in winter, take off your watch/band, rub your arm for a few minutes to activate blood circulation, and try measuring again.

The switch of Automatic SpO2 measurement has not been enabled

  • Open the Huawei Health app, touch Devices and then your device name, touch Health monitoring, and enable Automatic SpO2 measurement.

Please note that data and results from your watch/band are for reference only, and should not be used as a basis for medical diagnosis or treatment.
