Get started with the operation interface and common features of the GoPaint app.
My artwork

① Create new artwork
Touch
in the upper right corner of the home screen. In the Create new artwork window, select your desired canvas dimensions. GoPaint provides a variety of commonly-used canvas dimensions and textures.
② My favorites
GoPaint provides a separate screen to display your favorited artwork, that is, My favorites. You can touch and hold a work, select Favorite from the pop-up menu, and touch the favorites icon in the upper right corner (
) to go to the My favorites screen to view the work.
③ Menu
From there, you can import artwork, manage artwork in batches, view recently deleted artwork, and change app settings.
GoPaint supports importing multiple file formats: .BMP, .PNG, .JPEG, .WEBP, .PSD, and .GOPAINT.
You can import artwork in either of the following ways:
- On the My artwork screen, touch the menu icon (
) in the upper right corner to choose Import artwork or Import image. Then you can select your desired file or image from Files or Gallery. - You can also directly select the file to be imported and open it with GoPaint. The file will be automatically imported to the app.
Editing screen
Touch any artwork or create a canvas to enter the editing screen.
The toolbar on the editing screen consists of two parts: painting tools (left) and editing tools (upper right). Read the following content to learn how to use the toolbar.

- Brushes: Choose from a variety of brushes to create at will. The built-in Brushes library supports custom brushes and brush import and export.
- Smudge: Use the Smudge tool to quickly mix the colors on the canvas for a smooth, natural blending effect.
- Eraser: Use the Eraser tool to erase unwanted strokes.
- Size and opacity bars: Quickly adjust the Size and Opacity of the Brush, Eraser, or Smudge tool. Touch the circular sliders (
) to set to a frequently-used size and opacity. - Tool ring: Touch the tool ring to quickly copy, cut, and paste the current content or select a color on the canvas.
- Color: Select a color from Palette, Ring, or Card. The color window can also be displayed in a floating window.
- Layer: A work consists of multiple layers. Layer helps you separate different elements of a painting so that you can copy, move, delete, and adjust targeted content as required.
- Filters: Use the Filters tool to adjust the color of the current layer, and add blur and other artistic effects.
- Transform: Use the Transform tool to move, distort, or warp the content or adjust its size on the current layer.
- Selection: Provides multiple tools for you to select the content on the layer. Auto allows you to quickly select content with a box or dots.
- Menu: You can choose Import image, Reference, Symmetric guides, Export & share, Preferences, and more.
- Undo and Redo: Undo or redo the previous operation. You can also tap with two fingers to undo, and tap with three fingers to redo.
