How to configure the network of HUAWEI WiFi Mesh for the first time on my computer

You can use the web-based management page to configure your new router. The actual procedure may vary slightly.

  1. Connect the router's WAN port to the Internet (such as to a broadband modem or optical modem), and connect the router to the power supply. You can also connect the computer to the default Wi-Fi of the router to set up the network. For the default Wi-Fi name, see the bottom of the router.
  2. Open your Internet browser. Enter the default IP address in your browser's address bar (check the nameplate on the router for the default IP address and login password), access the router's web-based management page, and click Get started.
  3. The router will detect your network access method. Set up the network as instructed.
    • If you are using a PPPoE account, enter the broadband account and password, and proceed to the next step.

    If you do not remember your broadband account and password, contact your broadband carrier.

    • If you are using automatic IP assignment (DHCP), the Wi-Fi password setting screen will automatically be displayed.

    If the detection fails, you can select DHCP manually, and proceed to the next step.

  4. Set the new Wi-Fi name, password, and other parameters such as the router management password and Wi-Fi mode. After the setup is complete, the indicator on the router turns from steady red to steady blue.
