This FAQ is applicable to the HUAWEI WiFi Q2 (1 Base + 2 Satellites).

You do not need to install the satellite routers that come with your pack. Simply place them wherever needed. Connect your base router to the Internet and ensure that its indicator is steady blue. Plug a satellite router into a wall socket in the room where Wi-Fi signal is required. When the indicator on the satellite router turns steady blue, the setup is complete.

Your satellite router's Wi-Fi name and password will automatically sync with the base router. As with the base router, your satellite routers will automatically switch your mobile devices over to the optimal Wi-Fi network depending on your location within your home.

 

• You cannot use a satellite router on its own nor can you pair it with other routers.
• Your satellite router features a LAN port which you can use to connect to a device such as a computer using an Ethernet cable.
• If you still experience poor Wi-Fi signals in certain areas of your home, you can purchase more individual satellite routers to expand your Wi-Fi coverage. You can connect a maximum of 15 satellite routers to a single base router (the actual maximum number of satellite routers you can connect depends on environmental factors).
