Nothing is displayed when the HUAWEI MateView/MateView GT monitor is connected to a host |
This FAQ applies only to HUAWEI MateView/HUAWEI MateView GT monitors.
For HUAWEI MateView SE monitors, see The HUAWEI MateView SE monitor displays a black screen or receives no signal when connected to a device.
Troubleshooting 1: Check the device connected to the monitor, such as a computer, mobile phone, or tablet
- Make sure that the device connected to the monitor is powered on and works properly (not in a locked, off, sleep, or hibernation state).
- Choose Agree in the dialog box that is displayed on the device connected to the monitor.
- Contact the device vendor to check whether the USB-C port supports projection if the monitor cannot display only when connected to a device using a USB-C port.
- Try connecting another device to the monitor and check whether the issue persists.
Troubleshooting 2: Check signal cables
- Make sure to use a standard signal cable (DP or USB-C) and ensure that the cable is inserted correctly. If you are using a non-standard signal cable, check whether the cable works properly by connecting it to a different device.
- Remove and then re-insert the signal cable.
- The USB-C to USB-A cable does not support screen projection. Please use the USB-C to USB-C or DP cable that comes with the monitor, or use an HDMI 2.0 or later cable purchased from VMALL.
- If you use an adapter or adapter cable, pay attention to the following:
- Remove and then re-insert the adapter or adapter cable in the correct direction.
When using an adapter or adapter cable, pay attention to the connection direction. Connect the higher-bandwidth port to the host and the lower-bandwidth port to the monitor. For example:
- DP-to-miniDP: DP and miniDP ports have the same bandwidth and support bidirectional transmission. Both forward and reverse connections are supported.
- miniDP-to-HDMI: The miniDP port should be connected to the host and the HDMI port to the monitor.
- USB-C to HDMI: The USB-C port should be connected to the host and the HDMI port to the monitor.
- USB-C to miniDP: The USB-C port should be connected to the host and the miniDP port to the monitor.
- Replace the adapter or adapter cable with one that is compatible with the HUAWEI monitor. For details about the compatible models, contact Huawei customer service hotline.
- Remove and then re-insert the adapter or adapter cable in the correct direction.
