HUAWEI GoPaint Worldwide Creating Activity is provided by Huawei Device Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Huawei", "we", "us", or "our"), which aims to gather painting works created using Huawei tablets for assessment.
Huawei takes your personal information and privacy seriously, and is committed to taking appropriate security measures to protect your personal information in accordance with relevant laws and established industry security standards.

- As GoPaint is a global activity, your submitted works and work information will be displayed globally based on your authorization.
- The final assessment process of the works collected for GoPaint is conducted in China. Your works and work information will be transmitted to China. You may participate in the activity and publish your work in My HUAWEI after selecting the checkbox for the activity regulations and privacy statement. By doing so, you agree to submit your works to the activity and authorize the organizing committee of Huawei Device Co., Ltd. located in China to assess your works.
Joining the activity and uploading works
During the ongoing activity, you may participate in the activity and publish your work in My HUAWEI after selecting the checkbox for the activity regulations and privacy statement. We will record your sign-up information. You can also participate in the activity via a third-party social media platform, such as Instagram or Facebook, by the hashtag #HUAWEIGoPaint, #HUAWEIGoPaintMY and mention the correct local official HUAWEIMobile Facebook or Instagram account via @huaweimobilemy.
When you upload a work, the work (picture) and related information will be collected, including the work itself (picture), user nickname, work name, work description, category for work assessment, and EXIF information of the picture.
The information is stored according to the requirements of the platform. We will assess your work based on the post you have published.
In the event that your work is shortlisted, the operation personnel in your region will be notified. They will contact you through private messages on the platform to verify and confirm your work prior to any awarding process. Please note that only works that have been successfully published will be eligible for the awarding process. Any work that has been deleted or has not been published successfully will not be eligible, as it cannot be traced during the statistics collection process. When you submit a post on My HUAWEI or a third-party social media platform (Instagram or Facebook), you authorize us to review and access the post in China.
In accordance with the activity's publicity requirements, we will select certain submitted works to be showcased globally within the region or through authorized cooperation channels.
Subject to your authorization, your eligible and qualified works, as well as your user nickname and HUAWEI ID, will be displayed in the current region to global users.
Viewing and managing your works
As a participant, you can access your work submission platform, such as My HUAWEI, Instagram, and Facebook, to view, modify, and delete the information and status of your uploaded works.
Work assessment, award-winning notification, and incentive delivery
We will assess all works submitted for the activity after the submission deadline (that is, when the preliminary assessment stage starts). Only shortlisted works will be transferred to China for final assessment. We may contact you during the assessment process. For example, when selecting shortlisted works, we may contact you through private messages on the platform to verify the authorship of the works and ask whether the works have been created using Huawei tablets.
After the final assessment, if your work is shortlisted for an award, we may display your award-winning work on the HUAWEI GoPaint Worldwide Creating Activity web page, or through certain partner online or offline channels with your consent. The displayed information may include the work (such as picture), work information (such as work name, author, category for work assessment, work description, device model used, and EXIF information), country/region where you submit the work, and award name.
If your work is shortlisted for an award, our operation personnel will send a private message on the platform to you to obtain your email address. The email address will be shared to the third-party service provider for incentive distribution and communication. To distribute incentives, the third-party service provider will collect information about award winners, such as names, mobile numbers, bank accounts, and passports. The third-party service provider will process your aforementioned information in accordance with their data security protection criteria and privacy policies. We will retain your personal information in China for the period necessary to fulfill the aforementioned purposes, and will delete or anonymize your personal information beyond the required retention period. We will take necessary technical measures to protect your aforementioned information from leakage, misuse, unauthorized use, loss, tampering, accidental damage, or disclosure or access without your consent. If you actively provide the aforementioned information, it is deemed that you expressly agree that we process your personal information in accordance with the above terms.
This activity is intended only for adults. If you are a minor, you will not be eligible to participate in this activity. Parents and legal guardians should also take appropriate precautions to protect minors, including monitoring their use of products or services.
In addition to the official activity website, we will also publicize and display submitted works and award-winning works through My HUAWEI and HUAWEI Community, as well as third-party social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook.
We will request our affiliates, subsidiaries, or third-party service providers to process such information for us in compliance with our instructions, this Statement, and any other applicable confidentiality and security measures. This may include providing support and assistance for operational services such as work publicity, award publicity, and bonus distribution. For this purpose, we need to share necessary personal information, such as nicknames, names, countries/regions, works and related descriptions, contact information, bank accounts, and passports, with these affiliates, subsidiaries, or service providers. Huawei will collect winners' names, contact addresses, mobile numbers, passports, ID cards, and bank account information based on the award type, and transfer the aforementioned personal information to the third-party supplier. Bonuses will be distributed through the third-party supplier. Before the bonus is distributed, the third-party supplier will sign bonus collection agreements with the winners. The collected information is used only for the purpose of distributing incentives for GoPaint.
As GoPaint is a global activity, we will publicize or publicize award-winning works worldwide. For example, in case of bonus distribution, we will transfer your personal data to a country/region that is different from your location, for example, to China.
In order for you to more easily access, rectify, or delete your personal profile and guarantee you the right to withdraw your consent regarding personal information usage, we have added the relevant operating settings for your convenient use. Refer to the following guidelines for details:
If you participate in the activity via My HUAWEI, you can access the Galley section of HUAWEI Community to modify or delete your work.
If you participate in the activity via a third-party social media platform such as Instagram or Facebook, you may manage your data by referring to the management rules of the specific platform.
All data about participation in the activity via My HUAWEI will be stored in Singapore. Only the information about the shortlisted works will be transmitted to and stored on the server in the People's Republic of China.
We shall retain your personal information only for the time necessary to fulfill specified purposes, which means that we will retain your personal data about your submitted works for up to seven (7) years, unless an extension of the retention period is required or permitted by laws. We will delete or anonymize your personal information beyond such a retention period.
In the event that we discontinue our products or services, we will notify you in the form of a push notification, announcement, or by other means, and delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period of time.
We have appointed the person responsible for personal information protection. You can contact us by visiting the Privacy Questions page. We will reply as soon as possible.
If you are not satisfied with the response you receive, especially if you feel that our processing or handling of your personal information has violated or infringed on your legal rights and/or interests, you may seek external resolution, whether by filing a lawsuit with the people's court in the relevant jurisdiction, submitting a complaint to the industry self-regulation association or relevant government regulatory agencies, or by other means. You may also consult us regarding the available channels for voicing your complaint.

Appendix 1: HUAWEI GoPaint Malaysia Activity
In conjunction with the HUAWEI GoPaint Worldwide Creating Activity, this HUAWEI GoPaint Malaysia Activity (the “Contest”) is provided by Huawei Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (hereinafter referred to as "Huawei", "We", or "Organizer").
The terms of the HUAWEI GoPaint Worldwide Creating Activity shall be applicable subject to necessary modifications, in particular as set out in the terms contained in this Appendix 1 herein.
The assessment process of the works collected for the Contest is conducted by Huawei Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. You may participate in the activity and publish your work in My HUAWEI after selecting the checkbox for the activity regulations and privacy statement. By doing so, you agree to submit your works to the activity and authorize the organizing committee of Huawei Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd.to assess your works in accordance with the Privacy Statement.

| 6. | Winning rules of the Contest | : | All works submitted by participants will be reviewed by the staff. Works that successfully pass the initial assessment will be further verified to ensure that they have been created using Huawei tablets. Only works that have been verified to have been created using Huawei tablets will be considered eligible for awards. Upon reaching the deadline, the organizing committee will select approximately 50 works as the shortlisted entries for the final assessment phase. The selection will be based on criteria such as composition aesthetics, perspective creativity, subject matter and meaning, relevance to the theme, and extension feasibility of the works. Subsequently, the organizing committee will evaluate and score the shortlisted works using the same criteria for the final assessment. |

All submissions to the HUAWEI GoPaint Malaysia activity shall be subject to the same requirements as the HUAWEI GoPaint Global activity, including but not limited to the requirement for the work to be created using Huawei tablets, that the work is independently created, that the work is in JPG/PNG format and must not exceed 20MB, and the text description consisting of 30 to 80 words. | 11. | This Contest does not charge any fees or return any submissions, and accepts electronic submissions only. Any losses and consequences arising from not submitting entries or passing the review shall be assumed by you. | ||
| 12. | All participants agree to abide by the relevant laws of Malaysia, and shall not use this platform to publish any illegal content, including seditious, pornographic, violent, or terrorist images and/or data. Submissions that violate applicable laws and regulations or that the Organizer regards as disruptive to social order or public ethics shall be disqualified from the Contest. | ||
| 13. | The Organizer reserves the right to pre-screen all submissions. Submissions that do not comply with the Contest rules contained herein shall not be selected for this Contest. Should such submissions be selected, they are not exempt from later disqualification, and the Organizer is entitled to reclaim any prizes, awards, medals, written certificates, and other awarded rights and interests, and publicize such action on its official website and other media. | ||
| 15. | During the contest, the Organizer might select a certain number of submissions and display them on multiple channels such as the Contest page, social media posts, retail stores, and other marketing channels so as to promote the contest. These works are not selected as the winners. They are only used for the purpose of publicity. | ||
| 19. | If your work is shortlisted for an award, the organizer will contact you. In this instance, kindly submit the original copy of your work along with your personal information, copyright notice, authorization statement for your work, and any other required documents. Please ensure that you sign your name and send a copy of the aforementioned documents to the organizer via email. Failure to submit the required documents within the specified period or submission of documents that do not meet the organizer's requirements will result in you being considered to have voluntarily waived your shortlisting qualification. In such cases, your position will be taken by the participant who ranks next in line. The participant is required to respond to the private message from HUAWEI within 3 days otherwise will be deemed as abstention. | ||
| 20. | You agree and acknowledge that you shall provide authentic personal information, including your name, contact number, email address, and correspondence address, for the purposes of contact and award distribution. The Organizer shall collect and process your personal information solely for the aforementioned purposes and to the extent permitted by applicable laws. For more information about how the Organizer processes and protects your personal data, please refer to the privacy statement. You shall guarantee that the personal information provided by you is complete and accurate. The Organizer shall contact you to verify your registration information after the announcement of the award. If an award cannot be distributed to you due to incomplete personal information, it shall be deemed that you have waived the right to claim the award, and no award shall be distributed to you. | ||
| 21. | If the prize cannot be distributed due to the winner's own reasons (including but not limited to failing to fill in the contact information within three days after the activity ends, or inaccurate or incomplete contact information that makes it impossible for the organizer to contact the winner), it will be deemed that the winner has voluntarily waived their right to receive the prize. The organizer shall not bear any responsibility for this matter and shall not be obligated to re-issue the prize. Upon receiving the prizes, winners are required to verify the completeness of the items. If any exceptions or discrepancies are found, the winner should notify the issuer directly. | ||
| 22. | Prizes are not redeemable for cash. In the event that the award cannot be presented due to unforeseen circumstances, the Organizer has the right to distribute an award of equivalent value as an alternative, but replacement awards are also not redeemable for cash. Any physical prize (such as a phone) will only be delivered to you by express delivery, and the electronic certificate will be delivered to you by email. | ||
| 24. | You shall assume personal income taxes incurred as a result of this Contest. Huawei shall decide whether to withhold and remit the tax on behalf of the winners based on relevant tax requirements. The Organizer shall bear domestic and international freight costs incurred for shipping the awards. | ||
| 25. | HUAWEI reserves the right to adjust these rules with reason and in accordance with standard practices of similar competitions and open calls. In the event that the adjustments consist of material changes and will have a significant impact on your rights and obligations, Huawei will inform you using appropriate means. Please review these terms regularly to ensure you are aware of any changes made by HUAWEI. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you agree to be legally bound by the updated and/or amended terms. | ||
| 26. | Any disputes arising from or in connection with this Contest shall be negotiated in good faith. If no agreement has been reached within fifteen (15) days from the date on which the aforementioned negotiation starts, the parties agree to submit the dispute to the Malaysia Court. | ||
