Terms and Conditions of Huawei Carnival 2021
1.1 This Terms and Conditions apply to the participants who take part in the Huawei Carnival 2021 (herein: “the activity”). The participants have full authority to choose whether to participate in this activity. Participation in this activity in part or in full shall be deemed as the participant having fully understood and accepted all terms and conditions contained herein including activity rules set forth on this page and their interpretations.
2.1 The organizer of the competition is Huawei Device Co., Ltd. (herein: “Organizer”).
3.1 The competition is open to all persons who, at the date of entry, are aged 18 years or over; whose nationality is British.
3.2 The Organizer’s employees, their immediate family members, and employees of cooperation partners who are or were involved in creating or implementing the competition, are excluded from participation.
3.3 Participation is only possible on one’s behalf and joint submissions are not allowed.
4.1 Participation in the competition is free of charges and fees, and does not require the purchase of goods and/or services.
4.2 The competition starts at 00:00 on 19th Nov, 2021. The deadline is 23:59 3rd Dec, 2021.
4.3 Huawei Carnival 2021 involves the mainline activity which is called Unboxing Challenge, and the sideline activities which are operated in the Community.
4.4 To take part in the activity, the participants should take the following steps:
1) Download or upgrade My Huawei App
2) Enter from the homepage activity banner, and look through the activity rules.
3) Share your challenge link with your friends and invite them to boost your unboxing progress.
4.5 For the Unboxing Challenge, each account can unbox a maximum of 10 boxes and invite 1friends to help in each period. When the progress reached 1, then you will get an unbox chance. In each period, you can only get 10unboxing chances.
4.6 Submissions containing any defamatory, obscene, illegal, offensive, or any other unsuitable material will be disqualified and withdrawn by the participant. Submissions sent in through agents, third parties or multiple accounts will be disqualified.
4.7 The Organizer accepts no responsibility for incomplete, incorrectly completed, lost or delayed entries to the prize draw or for any malfunctions or failures in the software that has been designed to maintain the participant’s details.
4.8 The organizer reserves the right to exclude a participant who violates these Conditions of Participation, tampers with the competition, or makes false representations or statements that violate applicable law or infringe third-party rights. If a participant is excluded, prizes and benefits may be subsequently revoked and reclaimed.

5.2.1 Unboxing challenge
The prizes of Unboxing Challenge will be drawn by the website randomly from all those participants who have at least accomplished 1 box during the activity. At different phases, there will be different prize pools, which means the more boxes a participant has, the grander prize he/she might get.
5.2.2 Sideline activity prize
5.3 Notification
5.3.1 Participants can check out and claim the prizes of the unboxing challenge in the My Boxes menu on the activity page. After the results are announced, participants will need to go to the activity page to check out the box results within 30 days. Once checked, the prizes will be displayed in the participants’ My HUAWEI app’s personal center Me > Coupons.
5.3.2 The community admin will contact the sideline activity winners by the community message within 7 working days after the result is announced. The winners must accept their prizes by replying to the message with their contact information as required within the deadline specified in the message. If a winner fails to accept his/her prize within this period, his/her prize shall be forfeited.
5.3.3 For Unboxing Challenge winners, the prizes will be distributed in the forms of coupons, which can be used by the winners to redeem the prizes. The winners can refer to using method of the coupon when receiving the prizes.
5.4 The winner will be responsible for any taxes or charges incurred in claiming the prize.
5.5 Prizes are subject to availability and the Organizer reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Organizer’s control make it necessary to do so.
5.6 Compensation of the prizes in cash, their exchange, or their transfer to other persons is excluded.
5.7 The Organizer does not accept any responsibility if a winner is not able to take up the prize.
5.8 All images of the awards are for reference only. The actual prize may vary.
You agree and acknowledge that you shall provide an authentic order screenshot. This screenshot might disclose your personal information includes your name, contact number, email address, and correspondence address, for the purposes of contact and award distribution. The Organizer shall collect and process your personal information solely for the aforementioned purposes and to the extent permitted by applicable law.
7.1 In the event of circumstances outside the reasonable control of the Organizer, or otherwise where fraud, abuse, and/or an error (human or technical) affects or could affect the proper operation of this promotion or the awarding of prizes, the Organizer reserves the right to cancel or amend these terms and conditions at any stage but will endeavor to minimize the effect to participants in order to avoid undue disappointment.
7.2 If any provision of these Conditions of Participation is held invalid by any law, rule, order or regulation of any government, or by the final determination of any court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the enforceability of any other provisions not held to be invalid.
7.3 Any disputes arising from or in connection with this activity shall be negotiated in good faith. If no agreement has been reached within fifteen (15) days from the date on which the aforementioned negotiation starts, the parties agree to submit the dispute to the People's Court in Longgang District, Shenzhen for litigation. Your local statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

Personal information means any information that enable Huawei to identify you as a user.
As part of the activity we will collect and use your personal information only for the purposes stated in this Statement.
To operate the activity, we will need to collect your Huawei ID information to identify the participants and calculate stars.
To provide the prizes to the winner, we need to ask for the winners’ names, addresses, emails, and phone numbers.
You can always and at any moment object to such processing – please see section 3, Your Rights as a Data Subject (below).
Huawei will process the personal information you provided in your application as required by laws and regulations applicable to Huawei.
Security and fraud control: we use the personal information you provided at entry to ensure compliance with the Terms of Participation.
If you fail to provide certain information to us, you may be prevented from participating in the activity.
2.1 Data Storage Retention Period
All data will be stored in Singapore and managed by Huawei Community’s official administration team in Shenzhen, China. We retain your personal information for no longer than is necessary to achieve the stated purposes.
All data will be stored for a period of 3 months from the closing date of the activity and will then be deleted unless there is a legal obligation to store them.
2.2 Transfer and disclosure
Your data will be transmitted to employees of Huawei who are responsible for running the Huawei Carnival 2021 activity. We will also transfer the data in some cases to service providers who are directly involved in the activity as a partner or who are processing the data on our behalf. This includes using a third party to pick the winners of the Huawei Carnival 2021 activity to ensure that the winners are selected fairly, and using a distributor to deliver the activity prizes.
