My HUAWEI phone/tablet makes calls on its own
| My HUAWEI phone/tablet makes calls on its own |
Perform the following steps to troubleshoot:
1. Avoid automatic pocket calls
Your device may make calls in your pocket in the following situations:
- The device is placed in your pocket with the screen on (such as after a call ends or a video is played).
- The device is placed in your pocket after the screen is unlocked via face unlock.
- The device is placed in your pocket while no lock screen password has been set.
Make sure that the screen is locked and off before you place your device in your pocket.
You can also set the following features to reduce the chance of pocket calls.
Open Settings, then search for and access Mistouch prevention and Wake screen respectively to enable Mistouch prevention, Raise to wake, and Double-tap to wake.
2. Check the phone/tablet settings
- Disable Speed dial: Open Phone, tap
in the upper right corner, go to Settings > Speed dial, hold down on the number that you've set, and tap Clear assigned number.
Once Speed dial is enabled, you'll be able to speed dial a number by holding down on the key, which may cause a call to be made.
- Remove the speed dial card: Enter the Assistant·TODAY screen, touch and hold the speed dial card, and select Remove.
- Remove the shortcut icon of a contact on the home screen: Touch and hold the shortcut icon (displayed as a contact image) on the home screen to remove it. Otherwise, the contact shortcut on the home screen may be touched by accident, causing a call to be made.
- Uninstall the third-party dialler app: Touch and hold the app to uninstall it. If a third-party dialler app is installed, the phone may make calls on its own.
3. Check whether the automatic calling task is set up
- Go to AI Life > Scenes and check whether the corresponding scene card is displayed. If so, touch and hold the card to delete it.
4. Check whether a Bluetooth device is connected
If your device is connected to a Bluetooth device, check whether you tapped the callback button on the Bluetooth device. If so, the Bluetooth device should have initiated a callback to the number in the latest call record on your device.
5. If the issue persists
If the issue persists or you encounter any difficulties, please contact the Huawei customer service hotline for assistance. We will do our best to address your needs.
