Screen recording automatically stops on my HUAWEI phone/tablet |
Screen recording may automatically stop on the HUAWEI phone/tablet in the following scenarios:
Certain operations have been performed during the screen recording
These operations include:
A call is made or answered, the Power button is pressed, the phone screen automatically turns off, the phone switches to another user, Ultra power saving mode is enabled, Screen resolution is modified, or the memory card is removed (if the recording files are stored on it).
If screen recording is interrupted by a call, the video you have recorded will be saved automatically to Gallery.
The memory or storage of your device is insufficient
Perform the following to troubleshoot:
- If your device does not have a memory card installed, Enable Memory Cleanup.
- If your device has a memory card installed, and it has been set as the default storage location, clear the storage space of the memory card (NM memory card or NM Card), and try again.
The length of the recording exceeds five minutes (for versions earlier than EMUI 8.0)
EMUI 8.0 and later versions have removed the time limit, but introduced a file size limit. If a screen recording file is larger than 3 GB, another new video will be automatically created. As a result, you will find your recording divided into multiple videos in Gallery.
