  • Which devices are required for fast charging and super fast charging?
  1. A phone that supports Huawei fast charging or SuperCharge
  2. A charger that supports Huawei fast charging or SuperCharge
  3. Standard Huawei data cable or a data cable that supports fast charging or super fast charging. To charge your phone with SuperCharge, a cable with 5 A or higher current capacity is needed.

  • Why doesn't my phone charge with fast charging or SuperCharge when a standard charger and data cable are being used?
  1. After a charger is inserted, it will take about 10 seconds for your phone to detect the charger and then start charging with fast charging or SuperCharge. This is normal and please do not be concerned.
  2. Remove the data cable and insert it back in the USB port in a quick manner.
  3. Restart your phone and try again.
  4. Check whether the charging device is damaged or not in full contact with the phone.
    1. Verify that all connections are secure. It is recommended that you unplug the data cable from your phone and the charger, and the charger from the socket, and then replug them all. If necessary, use a different socket.
    2. Verify that the cable, charger, and connectors are intact. If any item is damaged, an electrical leakage may occur. Stop using the item that is damaged and replace it with a new one.
    3. Ensure that the USB connector of the data cable and the USB port of your phone are free from dust. If necessary, use a soft brush to clean them.
  • Why does it still take a long while to fully charge my phone in fast charging or SuperCharge mode?
  1. Ensure that all connections are secure. Poor contact between the charger and phone will affect the charging current and prolong the charging period.
  2. Make sure to use a standard data cable. A third-party data cable may be incompatible and prolong the charging period.
  3. During the charging process, the output current and voltage are dynamically adjusted and the charging speed gradually slows down as the battery level increases. This design is to protect the battery.

If the issue persists, back up your data and take your device, charger, data cable, and proof of purchase to an authorised Huawei Customer Service Centre for assistance.
