What should I do if I cannot read the values of atmospheric pressure or altitude, or the measurement of the barometer is inaccurate?

This is because your phone may not support the barometer feature. From your phone, open Compass, and check whether the readings of atmospheric pressure and altitude are displayed at the bottom of the screen. If not, your phone does not support the barometer feature.

If your phone supports the barometer feature, but the measurement of the barometer is inaccurate:

  1. Check whether the compass of your phone can calibrate the altitude over the Internet. The altitude may be read inaccurately when your phone is disconnected from the Internet.
  2. Check whether the pressure or temperature surrounding your phone changes sharply.
  3. Restart your phone and try again.
  4. Check whether a third-party app is used. Some third-party apps cannot invoke the atmospheric pressure value or update the atmospheric pressure benchmark value over the Internet.
  5. If the issue persists, back up your data and take your device and the proof of purchase to an authorised Huawei Customer Service Centre for assistance.
