Bluetooth headset/speaker/car kit unexpectedly disconnects from my phone

Cause:

  1. Your phone is too far away from the Bluetooth device, or there are nearby sources of interference or obstacles interrupting the connection.
  2. There may be an issue with the quality of the Bluetooth device.
  3. Syncing too many contacts from your phone to your Bluetooth car kit may lead to an intermittent connection.
  4. If you are playing Bluetooth music on your car kit, it may fail to process the lyrics, leading to playback lags or disconnection.

Solution:

  1. Move to a different location to avoid sources of interference, move your phone closer to the Bluetooth device (within 10 m), or adjust the device position, and try again.
  2. Connect the Bluetooth device to another phone, and check whether the same issue occurs. If so, the Bluetooth device is faulty.
  3. Re-pair your Bluetooth car kit and your phone. Set a limit for the number of contacts to be synced.
  4. Disable syncing lyrics to car kits in the music player app.

    Contact the customer service of the app for details about relevant settings.

  5. Open Settings, search for and access Reset network settings, then reset the network settings of your phone. (Note: This will delete all your Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connection records.)

If the issue persists, back up your data and take your device and proof of purchase to an authorised Huawei Customer Service Centre for assistance.
