My HUAWEI phone/tablet displays a message indicating that the microSD card is abnormal

Problem:

During use of the device, a message is displayed, indicating that the microSD card is abnormal and files may be lost if the user continues to use it. The message also prompts the user to back up data and replace the microSD card.

If you continue to use the microSD card, your device may stutter, apps may run abnormally, and data may be lost (same for HUAWEI NM cards).

Cause:

HUAWEI phones/tablets have a microSD card health status diagnosis feature. If the device detects that the microSD card is abnormal (for example, some storage areas of the microSD card are damaged), a pop-up message will be displayed.

Solution:

• It is recommended that you back up your data and replace the microSD card to reduce the risk of data loss caused by microSD card damage.
• If the issue persists, back up your data and take your device and proof of purchase to an authorised Huawei Customer Service Centre for assistance.
