Can I use a SIM card on my HUAWEI phone/tablet after cutting it or using a SIM card adapter?

Nano-SIM cards can be modified to Micro-SIM cards by adding a SIM card adapter, and Micro-SIM cards can be cut to Nano-SIM cards. If inserted into a phone or tablet, they can usually read signals. However, it is not recommended that you use them for a long time. If they are cut or modified, the shape or size may be irregular, which may cause the following issues:

1. The SIM card may get stuck in the card slot, making it difficult to remove. If you forcibly remove the SIM card, the card slot or card tray may be damaged.

2. The card may be loose, which may cause signal reading issues (no signal).

If your SIM card is not a standard card, it is recommended that you go to your carrier's customer service centre to replace it with a standard SIM card.
