What can account protection do?

After account protection is enabled, when you log in with a HUAWEI ID from a website or an untrusted device, you need to enter the password and verify your identity. The verification code is sent over a text message or an email. In this case, even though your password is hacked, the hacker can't access your personal data.

After you have verified your identity using the untrusted device, the server will identify this device as verified. Then the device becomes trusted. Next time when you use this device to log in with a HUAWEI ID, you don't need to verify the identity again. You can delete this device from the device list, in which case the device will become untrusted again.

After you have verified your identity, you don't need to verify the identity again next time you use this computer to log in. You can clear cookies to delete the browser from the trusted device list.
