Does deleting albums from Cloud delete the local version, and vice versa?

For EMUI 8.1 or later:

  1. If sync is enabled for the album on your local device，when deleting a photo from your local device, it will also be deleted from the cloud if the following option is selected: The selected items will be deleted from Cloud gallery and synced albums on all your devices. The photo will be deleted from other devices logged in with the same HUAWEI ID.Otherwise, the photo will only be deleted from your local device.
  2. If sync is enabled for the album on your local device, deleting a photo from this album on the cloud also deletes it from your local device. Additionally, the photo will be deleted from other devices logged in with the same HUAWEI ID.

For EMUI 8.0 or earlier with the Recently deleted album available:

  1. Deleting a photo from either the cloud or your local device deletes it in both locations and moves it to the Recently deleted album.
  2. Items in Recently deleted are permanently deleted after 30 days. You can restore items in Recently deleted, and you can also manually delete items permanently.

For EMUI 8.0 or earlier with the Recently deleted album unavailable:

  1. When deleting a photo from your local device, it will also be deleted from the cloud if the following option is selected: The selected items will be deleted from Cloud gallery and synced albums on all your devices. Otherwise, the photo will only be deleted from your local device.
