Call volume is low or calls are unclear when using the HUAWEI FreeBuds/FreeLace and WATCH Buds earphones

If the other person cannot hear clearly or the volume is low during a call, perform the following steps:

The HUAWEI FreeBuds Pro 3,FreeBuds Pro 2,FreeBuds Pro earphones use the bone voiceprint call noise cancellation technology to effectively reduce the impact of ambient noise and make your voice clearer but less loud. This is normal. Please rest assured.

  1. Ask the other person to increase the volume on their device.
  2. Adjust the way you are wearing the earphones and ensure that the microphone of the earphones is facing your mouth so that the earphones fit stably and the call quality is good.

If you are using FreeClip earphones, make sure that the acoustic ball fits your auricle and faces towards your ear canal, so that the microphone and bone conduction component can better pick up voice signals and provide better call quality.Click here to learn more about how to wear your earphones correctly.

  3. Ensure that the microphone and speaker openings on the earphones are not blocked.
  4. Avoid using the earphones to make calls when the signal is poor, there is noise or strong wind, or when you are cycling.
  5. Restore the earphones to their factory settings, reconnect them, and try again.

If you cannot hear clearly or the volume is low during a call, perform the following steps:
  1. Volume adjustments may not be synced between your device and earphones. Increase the volume on both your device and earphones. For more information, see Use the FreeBuds or FreeLace earphones or speaker to adjust the volume or adjust it from a phone.
  2. Select a pair of ear tips in a suitable size and ensure that the earphones are in close contact with your ears to isolate the external noise. Alternatively, enable the noise cancellation function if the earphones have the noise cancellation function.
