Solution:
1. Make sure that you have a working Wi-Fi connection.
2. Open the HUAWEI AI Life app, touch 
in the upper right corner, and go to the account centre. Verify that you have logged in to your HUAWEI ID, go back to the HUAWEI AI Life app, and try adding the device again.
