Cloud backup

All data on your phone can be backed up to HUAWEI Cloud via a Wi-Fi connection. You can transfer your data backup to a new device with a single touch.

  • System apps including Gallery, Contacts, Calendar, Notepad, Wi-Fi, Recorder, Messaging, Browser, Blocked, SmartCare, Phone Manager, Clock, Weather, Camera, and Settings. Certain app data and apps (excluding twin apps) are also supported.

Actual backup results may vary.

  • A maximum of three backups can be stored for Cloud backup. If a fourth backup is performed, the oldest backup will be deleted.
  • If you have enabled Cloud Gallery for your device, photos and videos in the Gallery will be backed up in the cloud space via Cloud Gallery. Cloud backup will not back them up again.

How to use Cloud backup?

HiSuite

You can back up your data to a computer via a USB cable or Wi-Fi connection. You will then be able to access and manage your phone data from your computer.

  • Windows: Gallery, Contacts, Messaging, Recorder, app data, Notepad, Wi-Fi, Phone Manager, SmartCare, Clock, Weather, home screen, Blocked, and more.
  • Mac: Only data in the Gallery app and Files app can be backed up.

Actual backup results may vary.

  • The security features have been enhanced since HiSuite 10.0.0.510. When connecting your phone to a computer, you need to enter the verification code to ensure security.
  • For details about the system requirements, visit the official website.

Data Backup Using HiSuite

Back up to External storage

Data is saved to Memory card or USB storage without requiring an Internet connection, saving your phone's storage space and facilitating data management and migration.

Gallery, Contacts, Messaging, Recorder, app data, Notepad, Wi-Fi, Phone Manager, SmartCare, Clock, Weather, home screen, Blocked, and more.

Actual backup results may vary.

  • When backing up your data to a Memory card, you can enable backup encryption by setting a password. The password will be required if you want to restore your data backup. If you forget this password, it will not be possible to retrieve your data backup.
  • Supported storage devices include: MicroSD cards, NM cards, USB flash drives, card readers, and devices with a memory card inserted.
