Problem

The monitor screen flickers or the display is erratic after startup.

Cause

  1. The cable connection is faulty.
  2. The signal input of the computer is faulty.
  3. The LCD screen is cracked or the LCD screen is faulty.

Solution

  1. Reconnect the cables to the monitor and computer. If this issue persists, replace the cables with ones that work properly.
  2. Replace the computer or monitor and check whether the display is normal.
  3. (1) Check whether the erratic display is caused by cracks in the screen. Power off the computer and check if there are smudges, such as liquid leakage in the crack. If there are any, it indicates that this issue is caused by human factors. It is recommended that you replace the screen.

(2) Boot the system to the self-check mode.

  1. Power on the monitor and remove the VGA and HDMI cables.
  2. Press the following buttons at the same time: from left to right, the second button, the third button, and the Power button.

  3. The monitor will then automatically enter the self-check mode.

If this issue persists, prepare the invoice, check the device SN, and call Huawei customer service hotline to check whether you have the right to use on-site support services. If you have the right to use our on-site support services, Huawei Customer Service Centre will assign professional engineers to inspect your device. If you do not have the right to use the on-site support services, you can pay to use the services. Alternatively, you can back up important data and bring your device and proof of purchase to an authorised Huawei Customer Service Centre for assistance.
