Use the FreeBuds/FreeLace and WATCH Buds earphones or speaker to adjust the volume or adjust it from a phone

If Bluetooth absolute volume or Sync volume with phone is enabled, the volume of your Bluetooth device will be synced with that of your phone/tablet. When your phone is connected to a Bluetooth device, the Bluetooth device will also be adjusted when you adjust the phone volume, and vice versa.

Refer to the following table to enable Bluetooth absolute volume or Sync volume with phone on your phone/tablet.

EMUI11. 0 or earlier
  1. Go to Settings > About phone/tablet and touch Build number seven times consecutively until the message "You are now a developer!" is displayed.
  2. Return to the Settings screen and go to System & updates > Developer options to enable Bluetooth absolute volume.
  3. Disable Bluetooth and enable it again on your phone/tablet, then connect your phone/tablet to the earphones.

EMUI 12.0

On your phone/tablet, open Settings > Bluetooth, touch the icon next to the name of the Bluetooth device, and enable Sync volume with phone.

 
  • The status of the Sync volume with phone switch is only valid for the currently connected device, and you also need to turn on the switch again after a system update of HarmonyOS.
  • Some Bluetooth earphones do not support absolute volume adjustment, so the Sync volume with phone switch is not available.

If you are using a non-Huawei phone, unpair the earphones and pair them again, or contact the phone manufacturer to enable absolute volume.
