Automatically Switch Between Portrait and Landscape Orientation

Your device is able to automatically switch your screen display orientation, with the help of the built-in Swing Gesture Sensor (to detect your face orientation) and gravity sensor.

For example:
  • When you need to switch your device between portrait and landscape orientation when it is placed on a surface, just rotate your device.

  • When you are using your device while lying down, the screen will not change its display orientation when you change your lying posture.

Swipe down from the status bar to open the notification panel, then swipe down on it again to show all shortcuts. Touch to enable the Auto-rotate feature.

Why Can't the Screen Rotate Intelligently?

The possible causes are as follows:

  • Your device comes equipped with the Swing Gesture Sensor to detect the face direction. Therefore, you need to ensure that the sensor can detect faces.

    • Do not cover the sensor, which is located in the upper left corner of the screen.

    • Look straight at the screen and keep a distance of 40–60 cm away from the sensor.

    • The sensor works better in a well-lit environment.

  • Landscape display is not supported in some apps (such as navigation or game apps) and the home screen.
