The time of a photo on my HUAWEI phone/tablet is later than the current time |
Problem:
In Gallery, a photo that was just taken shows a later time of capture. For example, the time of the photo on the device is several days or years later than the current time.
Cause:
- The time sync on the network provider's network is not functioning properly.
- The system time set on your device may be later than the current time at your location. For instance, you may have set the device system time to a few years in the future by mistake and then taken a photo or downloaded a picture from a third-party app. In this case, the device system time will be displayed for the photo.
- You may be viewing a cached image generated by a third-party app, resulting in the time of the image being later than the current time, as it takes some time for the image to be fully loaded.
Solution:
- If the time on your device is also inaccurate, switch the network to Wi-Fi, take a photo again, and check whether the time of it is correct.
- Take a new photo and check if the time of it is correct. If the issue persists, go to Settings > Date & time, enable Set automatically, restart the device, and try again.
Thanks for your feedback.
