Update the firmware or software of the HUAWEI Bluetooth earphones as follows. If the update fails, troubleshoot the issue by referring to Unable to update the firmware or software of the HUAWEI earphones.
- Before the update, make sure that the battery level of both the earphones and charging case is at least 20% (for FreeBuds Pro, the battery level must be at least 30%; for FreeBuds Studio, at least 10%). Keep the earphones inside the charging case and leave the case open. Do not use the earphones while they are updating.
- The FreeBuds series earphones will restart after they are updated. Before the restart completes, the inner indicator will remain red. Please close the case and wait for 5 seconds before using the earphones.
- Updated versions cannot be rolled back to earlier versions. Certain features may be added or optimised in the new version. If you notice any issues or have any suggestions about the new version, send your feedback by going to in the AI Life app.
