Unable to disable the lock screen password on my HUAWEI phone/tablet |
Problem:
The user cannot disable the lock screen password on the HUAWEI phone/tablet.
Solution:
- Open Settings, search for and open Disable lock screen password, and touch DISABLE. (When the lock screen password is disabled, the Fingerprint and Face Recognition features will no longer be available, and all enrolled data will be cleared.)
- You may have enabled PrivateSpace. Go to Settings > Privacy/Security & privacy > PrivateSpace, touch Quit to return to MainSpace, open Settings, and disable the lock screen password.
- If the Disable lock screen password option is greyed out, open Device administrators to check whether there are activated apps. It is possible that you'll need to set the lock screen password when certain apps are activated. To do so, follow the steps below:
Open Settings, search for and open Device administrators in the search box on the top, and select Deactivate for the corresponding apps.
- If the issue persists or you encounter any difficulties, please contact the Huawei customer service hotline for assistance. We will do our best to address your needs.
Thanks for your feedback.
